Scholarly Citations
As a memoirist who has experienced tremendous adversity in his life, the range of subject matter covered in his books includes childhood sexual abuse, abandonment, adoption, food insecurity, suicidal depression, anxiety, school bullying, parental alcoholism and mental illness, his own struggle with alcoholism, the death of a partner, therapy and therapeutic failure.
